My Background

My business name is Diamond Psychology because I have a personal connection to the word diamond. Diamond is my middle name, and also the name of my family’s business growing up. Diamonds are associated with strength, love, and health, and I believe that we all have the ability to access these qualities within our own lives. Diamonds are developed under pressure, and I believe that life’s challenges can create the strength in you to allow yourself to thrive instead of simply surviving. There are days where the struggle and pressure of life can be overwhelming, and it can be difficult to keep yourself mentally and physically healthy. I am here to help you on your journey to a healthier mind and body as we all have the ability to change from being a diamond in the rough to a beautiful shining specimen.

I have an extensive background in both marketing and health care, having obtained my first Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. I then spent five years in the business world in marketing before making the move to health care where I have spent ten years working in both emergency departments and on the provincial trauma team. This work has shown me that the field of mental health needs more supports and resources than are available right now. I know that people are struggling right now, and I became a psychologist to help you navigate through your trauma and difficulties to help you create a better life for yourself.
